Sharing Discovery with TrialKit's Box.com Account

Sharing discovery files with the TrialKit Discovery team for upload is easy. The TrialKit Discovery team will setup a folder for your firm on our Box account. No need to create or have a Box account of your own. Below is a step-by-step guide of the process.

Accepting the invite from Box

  1. The TrialKit Discovery team will create a folder for your firm and add your email address.

  2. Check your inbox for an email from “TrialKit Discovery” inviting you to collaborate on box.

  3. Accept the invite in the email and you will be prompted to create a box account.

  4. Create your username and password.

  5. Agree to the terms and hit submit.

Logging into Box and Setting up 2FA

  1. Log in to your Box.com account with the credentials you just created.

  2. You will be prompted to set up two factor authentication for security purposes.

  3. Select “Set Up” and choose your preferred authentication method. Email or Phone are sometimes the easiest options.

  4. Hit “continue” and a code will be sent using your preferred method.

  5. If you chose email, check your inbox again for the authentication code from Box, if phone then an SMS message should have been sent to your mobile device

  6. Copy the code and paste it in the verification window on box.

Uploading you discovery

  1. When you log in to Box, you will see a folder with your firm's name.

  2. Double click to open the folder and create a new subfolder for your case.

  3. When uploading files, do not add files outside of your case subfolder. Be sure to double click into your case subfolder and add files there.

  4. The TrialKit Discovery team will be alerted that your new files have been added, and they will start processing them for upload to TrialKit right away.

BEST PRACTICE: Downloading the Box Drive desktop app

  1. As a best practice, we recommend downloading and installing the Box Drive desktop app

  2. Complete the installation steps on your computer, which may require you to enter an admin password.

  3. Once installed, the Box Drive desktop app will appear in your desktop file directory, and you can add files and folders directly here.

  4. With the desktop app, files will sync in the background as long as your computer is on and connected to the internet.
