The Case Report Export

The Case Report is a very helpful report that shows all of the case files that have been uploaded to your case. You can also choose to see any files that may have failed in the upload process making this a report that is helpful for auditing your case discovery on TrialKit to ensure you case files are complete.

To export this report you must either be an Owner or a Member on the case. Case Teammates with Viewer privileges may not export the Case Report. 

The report will download as a .csv file which can be opened in Microsoft Excel, Numbers (Mac), Google Sheets or similar spreadsheet applications. Included as column headers in the report are the following:

  • File Name: The original file name of the source file
  • Title: The descriptive filename created by TrialKit  
  • Media Type: The type of file within TrialKit (Audio, Document, Image, or Video)
  • Size: The file size in bytes
  • Is Important: Yes, if the file was marked as important within TrialKit
  • Sources: The source folder designation assigned by TrialKit
  • Category: The category folder designation assigned by TrialKit
  • Tags: any tags any teammate has added to the files
  • Upload Date: The date the file was uploaded to TrialKit
  • Bates Number: The Bates number of the file (if included)
  • Description: The description summary of the file as created by TrialKit

 

Exporting the Report

  1. In your Case Info menu navigate to the General Information section at the top
  2. Select Export Reports on the right hand side of the section

 

  1. A pop-up menu will appear prompting you to choose an option for your report export:

  • All files: includes all case files successfully uploaded and process to you case in TrialKit
  • All not processed files: includes all case files that may have failed in the upload process to TrialKit
  1. Select Export Report
  2. You will see a small toast menu in the lower left hand side of the screen that will signal that the export has started

 

  1. You can view the status of your report export in the Export menu which can be accessed in the upper right side of the screen in any section

     

 

  1. In the Export menu you will see the status of your report export
  2. This menu also includes information about the report including File Count, Status, and File Size
  3. Once the export is listed as Complete in the Status column you may download it to your computer
  4. Select the download option to the right of the report record. This will start the download to your computer where it can be viewed.

 

Note: exports only remain available in the exports menu for 30 days. After this downloads of the report are disabled and the exported file is removed from this menu
