Building your TrialKit Team
Before you get started using TrialKit you may want to invite other members of your firm or your team to join TrialKit and collaborate on cases. In the last section you learned about the User Admin section on the main TrialKit menu. This is where you will invite other users to join you on TrialKit. See the article below for the steps to do this.
To give someone access to TrialKit, you must invite them as a user to the platform. Only an account admin can add users to the platform. If you are not the account admin, please ask your admin to carry out the invitations or to change your own permissions to allow inviting new users if tat should be your role.
Follow these simple steps:
-
From the Main TrialKit menu, click User Management in the left menu.
- Click Invite User on the right hand side of the page.
- Enter the first and last name, email address, position, and phone number (if desired), and choose the role for the person you wish to invite.
- Click invite and that person will receive an email to set up their account.
- They will receive an email invite to TrialKit from TrialKit Support in their inbox.
- If they don't see it in their inbox, please have them check your spam, junk, or quarantine folders.
- The invite will prompt them to create a new password to join TrialKit and then they are in!
Adding Teammates to a Case
Now that you've invited your team to join you on TrialKit, you can now start adding members to cases that you have created and are Owner. For more information on creating cases, view this article: Adding a Case.
You can add as many teammates as you need to collaborate on your case. Only case owners can add teammates to a case and the teammates you add must first have been invited to your firm on TrialKit.
To add a teammate to a particular case:
- Open your case in My Cases
-
Navigate to Case Info in the left menu
-
Click +Add Teammate on the right hand side
- Start typing the email of the person you want to add
- If that person has already been added to your firm, their email should appear in the dropdown
- You can set their permissions accordingly:
- Owner - all permissions including adding additional teammates
- Member - all permissions except adding additional teammates
- Viewer - read-only permission (cannot create work product)
